On Friday, December 12, 2014, we are organising in Athens a European conference on the theme of "Quality Assurance in Adult Learning".

The conference is organised in the framework of Quadrat project, that developed:

• Learning materials for quality officers of adult learning institutions (handbook, case studies and CD-ROM);
• A training course for quality officers of adult learning institutions (training curriculum, training material, handouts);
• A software for the design and implementation of quality assurance systems in adult learning institutions. The products of Quadrat projects are focused on the quality standards ISO 9001;
• Quality Management Systems and ISO 29990 - Quality assurance in non-formal and informal learning.

The final conference of Quadrat project will take place in Athens and will bring together policy makers and practitioners from the field of post-secondary vocational training and adult learning. The thematics of the conference are:

• Quality standards and frameworks applicable to education and training organisations (presentations can deal with ISO standards, EFQM, CAF etc);
• Management of human resources - key competences for adult learning professionals;
• EU instruments and their implications in the design of learning programmes (EQF, ECVET, EQAVET, validation of prior learning);
• Quality practices and tools.

In the conference, we have invited the major stakeholders in Greece to present the policy framework. We have confirmed the collaboration of the certification body TUV Hellas, they will present the ISO standards. Participants of the conference will be from training centres of different levels (around 80-100 people). Transnational participants are our partners from Quadrat and we have invited also partners from other projects in the theme of Quality assurance.

We would like to invite you to join our conference. You will have the opportunity to present your project, distribute information material in a dedicated area and liaise with possible partners from Greece and other countries. Participation in the conference is free of charge. The costs of travel and subsistence can be possible charged to your running European project.
