The impact of COVID-19 has meant that Higher Education providers have had to rapidly re-purpose their work to mainly virtual forms to reach learners and support schools and colleges. However, as we look forward to 2020-2021, what does this mean for widening access to higher education work going forward?

NEON is holding a second FREE online summit on ‘Where to now for outreach? Innovation and impact of COVID-19 on widening access to HE work in 2020-21’ to support the widening access community. This event is being held on Wednesday 1st July from 10am (London-UK time).

The second summit will highlight the work that has been done to adapt to the challenges of COVID-19 so far by the national widening access community and what new resources and projects have been developed. It will also look forward at what should priorities be for outreach work in and how we can work with schools and colleges in 2020-21.

It will include presentations from:

• Chris Millward, Director for Fair Access and Participation, Office for Students
• Sir Les Ebdon, Chair of NEON

It is crucial that we work together to support learners from widening access backgrounds as it is the learners we serve that stand to lose out from the disruption caused by Covid-19.
