Wondering how our digital futures shape up? Join us for The Lord Kelvin/Adam Smith Symposium Series entitled, A Manifesto for Inclusive Digital Futures: Global Conversations and Action on the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The aim of this symposium is to pioneer and advance conversations from across the globe in order to imagine and collectively shape our digital futures.

Our keynote speakers include Professor Caroline Bassett (University of Cambridge) speaking on “The Fourth Turn: Five Responses” and Professor Hopeton Dunn (University of Botswana) speaking on “Reimagining Human Development in the Fourth Industrial Revolution - AI and IA: Artificial Intelligence and Internet Access in Search for an inclusive Digital Future.” 

Other speakers featured in our roundtable sessions include Prof Gerard Goggin (Univ. of Singapore), Prof Payal Arora (Erasmus University Rotterdam), Prof Madeline Murtagh (Univ. of Glasgow), Prof Simeon Yates (Univ. Of Liverpool), Prof Robin Mansell (LSE), Dr Nick Bradshaw (AI Media Group), Prof Renata Avila (Stanford University), Prof Richard Harper (Lancaster University), and Prof Jane Duncan (Univ. Of Johannesburg).

At this global event we will interact through keynote discussions, breakout sessions and networking to enable conversations that will shape and influence a Manifesto for Inclusive Digital Futures that are beneficial for all across the Globe. 

This event is organised by the Interdisciplinary Research Team, Digital Society and Economy, at the University of Glasgow which includes: Mrs Bishakha Chaudhury, Dr Lavinia Hirsu, Dr Hayes Mabweazara, Prof Bridgette Wessels, and Dr Mark Wong.
