Many subscribers have an interest in the service role of universities, and it is evident to me from a number of meetings during 2013 that work within Latin America deserves a wider audience. I therefore provide details of the most recent newsletter of the Centro Latinoamericano de Aprendizaje y Servicio Solidario (CLAYSS) based in Buenos Aires. There are many items of interest, and below I have selected just one.

CLAYSS offers service-learning online courses to be conducted between March and July, and between August and November 2014.

“Service-Learning in Higher Education” (si hacés la sección en ingles del curso online tendría que ir linqueada acá) is focused on the Higher Education professionals and hopes to provide design, implementation and institutionalization tools for educational projects based on the pedagogy of service-learning, be it to develop new practices or review those already in existence.
