This project is currently under active development with officers from Kent County Council (KCC). It will explore the implications of Alison Wolf’s Review of Vocational Education in England for vocational provision for 16-19 year olds through the Vocational Skills centres in Kent. After an evaluation of KCC’s then existing programme, the Wolf report cited the vocational centres as an example of good practice for the developments proposed in the report. KCC has been working on integrating the work of the centres into other youth provision in the County and has asked the University of Glasgow to conduct a further evaluation of the new model and practices.
