This briefing paper explores the adapted version of online participatory mapping, the challenges, and benefits, as well as some preliminary findings of engaging in this process.

We aim to showcase that mapping cultural and nonformal education activities represents an opportunity to locate current resources and infrastructure at community level to promote peacebuilding. 

Join us for the fourth of five exciting events that focus on key issues in educational research. The focus of this webinar is research at intersections between culture, literacies, inclusion, and pedagogy, notably in regions of conflict, and through a focus on the arts, children's literature, and literacies.

This briefing paper highlights some of the more specific policies for the city of Medellin (Colombia) from 2004 to 2019, which contributed to reducing the rates of violence by focusing on developing community cohesion while tackling both crime and inequality. It contributes to the overall research project which seeks to create a detailed understanding of the infrastructure, engagement, resources and policies required to educationally transform a community and move towards peacebuilding.
